However, persuading friends or relatives to use the same work management app might not be simple. Karo, an iOS app that translates to "do it" in Hindi, seeks to resolve issues even in cases where the other party isn't using it.
Mustafa Yusuf has created other task management software before. The India-based firm also creates Tasks, a more sophisticated to-do software for task management. Because other apps didn't provide him the flexibility to assign tasks to contacts in your address book, Yusuf told TechCrunch that he created Karo.
"I couldn't just assign and monitor tasks I had for individuals in my contacts using any app. For instance, my sister, plumber, electrician, or accountant. All I want to do is give them an assignment, let them see it on the messaging/WhatsApp apps they already use, and let me know when they complete it. If they don't, I'd rather have the app notify them automatically rather than me bugging them," he stated.
Before developing the software, Yusuf claimed he had to personally remind people to finish a task using WhatsApp or other chat apps. Furthermore, even he neglected tasks because there was no tracking mechanism in place.
